Declan Rice Sends Fierce Warning: Arsenal Plot Ruthless Hunt for Liverpool’s Premier League Crown
Arsenal players celebrate after scoring a goal against Manchester City in the Premier League

Despite Liverpool’s commanding lead at the top of the Premier League table, Arsenal delivered a resounding statement with a 5-1 demolition of Manchester City on Sunday. The emphatic victory showcased the Gunners’ determination to stay in the title hunt, and midfield powerhouse Declan Rice insists they will not back down.

Rice played a pivotal role in the victory, registering two assists, and used the opportunity to remind Liverpool that Arsenal remain firmly in the chase. However, with Jurgen Klopp’s side six points ahead with a game in hand, the challenge remains steep.

Acknowledging the gap at the top, Rice admitted that while Arsenal must rely on other teams to slow down Liverpool, their primary focus remains on their own performances.

“Liverpool are still quite far in front, especially with the game in hand, and with them winning yesterday you know going into the game that you have to win,” Rice told Sky Sports.

Reflecting on dropped points earlier in the season, Rice pointed to moments like the 2-2 draw against Aston Villa, where Arsenal squandered a two-goal lead, as missed opportunities that could have put them in an even stronger position.

“It’s more disappointing the games like Aston Villa, when we were 2-0 up and dropped points, because we could be up there closer to Liverpool.”

Despite the deficit, Rice remains unwavering in his belief that Arsenal can claw their way back into contention.

“But we will be there, and we will keep pushing. We do need others to help us, but we know what the goal is and that’s to hunt them down and win the Premier League.”

With Arsenal hitting form at a crucial moment, the title race is far from over—and the Gunners are making it clear that they won’t stop fighting.

“We need to stay positive, and I’m sure we will be fine.”

Arsenal had fallen just short in the last two seasons as City kept Mikel Arteta’s side at bay to extend their title-winning streak to a record four in a row.

On Sunday, goals by Martin ØdegaardThomas ParteyMyles Lewis-SkellyKai Havertz and Ethan Nwaneri effectively removed City from the title equation.

“It is a great day for us, especially with the necessity that we had to win the game. The manner that we have done it I am really pleased,” Arteta said.

“Overall, we scored some beautiful goals, and the team showed a high competitive level.”

Arteta was full of praise for teenager Lewis-Skelly, whose impressive display was capped with his first Arsenal goal.

“You need big individual performances to beat [Man City]. Myles was certainly one of them, the maturity he showed and competitiveness as well,” Arteta said.

“He plays with that personality, and he’s scored a beautiful goal. He has been pushing us since he has been with us. We like his character and personality. He has so much courage.”

Gary Neville slams Gabriel for disrespecting Erling Haaland

Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has criticised Gabriel Magalhães for “disrespecting” Erling Haaland in Arsenal‘s 5-1 thrashing of Manchester City on Sunday.

Gabriel reacted to Martin Ødegaard‘s second-minute opener by screaming in Haaland’s face before Myles Lewis-Skelly followed his first senior goal by mimicking Haaland’s meditating celebration.

When the two teams last met in September, in the reverse fixture, Haaland hit Gabriel in the back of the head with the ball and clashed with members of the Arsenal squad after full-time — infamously telling Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to “stay humble.”

Neville has said the incident made him feel “uneasy” and that it was “disrespectful” of the Arsenal centre-back.

“I want to mention Gabriel and what he did to Haaland,” Neville said on his Sky Sports podcast.

“It happened to me actually at Highbury many, many years ago and we actually won 4-2 that day. A player screamed in my face.

“I actually don’t like it, I think it’s a bit disrespectful. I get that Haaland was the pantomime villain here today but there was something about it that I didn’t like.

“I never went and screamed in a player’s face … I just didn’t like that, it made me feel a little bit uneasy, it was a little bit disrespectful.”

Arteta has since appeared to warn his players over their pointed celebrations at Haaland.

“We have to focus on us and to leaving anything that happened there, just part of the game on the pitch and the feeling, whatever happens there,” Arteta said.

Arsenal are six points behind Premier League leaders Liverpool, who have a game-in-hand on Wednesday against Everton.

Luka Modric: The Surprising Stat That Highlights His Enduring Importance

Luka Modric continues to defy age and remain a vital figure for Real Madrid this season.

Despite being 39 years old, the Croatian midfielder has made more appearances than any other player in the squad, showcasing his remarkable consistency and durability.

Leading the Pack in Appearances

According to SPORT, Modric has played in a combined total of 51 matches this season, including his games for both Real Madrid and the Croatian national team.

While he doesn’t top the list for minutes played at the club, ranking 11th among Carlo Ancelotti’s most-used players, his overall involvement is impressive.

When his international minutes are included, he moves up to 9th place.

This season, nine Real Madrid players have featured in at least 40 matches, reflecting the depth and rotation within the squad.

Yet, Modric stands out as the player with the most appearances, surpassing younger teammates like Federico Valverde (50 matches), Kylian Mbappe (46), and Antonio Rudiger and Rodrygo (45 each).

Defying Age with Consistency

Modric’s ability to maintain such a high level of performance at his age is extraordinary. Ancelotti has managed his workload carefully, often starting him every other match.

However, Modric recently played back-to-back games, featuring against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League after starting against Rayo Vallecano in La Liga.

His importance extends beyond club football. For Croatia, Modric has been a guaranteed starter in all six international matches this season, proving his enduring value on the international stage.

For Real Madrid, he has appeared in 45 out of 48 matches, further highlighting his reliability.

A Legend in the Making

Modric’s contract with Real Madrid expires in June, but his performances suggest he still has plenty to offer. His technical ability, football intelligence, and leadership remain as sharp as ever, earning him the admiration of fans and teammates alike.

Real Madrid supporters hold Modric in the highest regard and would love to see him extend his stay for another season.

If he does, it would mark his 14th campaign with the club, cementing his legacy as one of the greatest midfielders in the history of the sport.

Modric’s remarkable season is a testament to his professionalism, dedication, and timeless talent. As he continues to shine on the pitch, he proves that age is just a number.

Will Kolo Muani Stay at Juventus or Move to the Premier League?

Will Kolo Muani Stay at Juventus or Move to the Premier League?

The future of French forward Kolo Muani is one of the most intriguing storylines heading into the summer transfer window.

Currently on loan at Juventus from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), Muani has struggled to find consistent form, sparking speculation about where he’ll play next season.

With Juventus, PSG, and Premier League clubs all weighing their options, the 25-year-old’s next move remains uncertain.

Juventus’ Dilemma: To Keep or Let Go?

Juventus are in a period of transition, with both managerial and squad uncertainties shaping their summer plans.

The club’s qualification for the Champions League could play a key role in their decision-making. If they secure a top-four finish, they may push to retain Muani, but his recent dip in form has raised doubts.

As Calciomercato reports, “The Frenchman hasn’t scored for a month, he has stopped and shows no signs of recovery.”

Despite this, Juventus’ sporting director sees Muani as a “top-level profile” and is reportedly keen to secure another loan deal.

However, PSG have different plans. The French giants are looking to sell Muani outright to maximize their financial return, rather than extending his stay in Turin.

PSG’s Stance: A Sale, Not a Loan

PSG’s position is clear they want to cash in on Muani and reinvest in their squad. The club’s summer plans include a major overhaul of their attack, and Muani’s sale could help fund new signings.

As Calciomercato notes, “The ambition of the French is to immediately sell the striker and not necessarily to Juve, to whom the player was kindly loaned with a very clear aim. That of re-evaluating him and putting him on display for next summer.”

Muani’s time at Juventus has been a mixed bag. While he’s enjoyed regular playing time, he hasn’t rediscovered the form that made him one of Europe’s most promising forwards.

If he is to stay in Turin, it will likely depend on Juventus securing Champions League football and presenting a strong long-term project.

Premier League Interest: Newcastle in the Mix

The Premier League could be a viable destination for Muani, with Newcastle United emerging as a potential suitor.

The Magpies’ potential sale of Alexander Isak could create an opening for Muani to fill. As the report highlights, “Kolo Muani has a lot of market in the Premier League, above all Newcastle who can open the waltz of the strikers, with the fate of Isak yet to be discovered.”

Muani’s pace and versatility make him an attractive option for English clubs, but his inconsistent form raises questions about whether he can command a starting role at a top Premier League side.

Newcastle fans might view him as an exciting addition, but his lack of goals could be a concern, especially if Isak departs.

The debate surrounding Muani centers on whether he’s worth a long-term investment. His speed and movement offer something unique, but his recent struggles in front of goal are a red flag.

For Juventus, pairing him with a proven finisher like Victor Osimhen could be the solution, but the club may also consider a complete overhaul of their attack.

For Newcastle, Muani’s physicality and ability to stretch defences could fit well into Eddie Howe’s system.

However, fans might prefer a more established striker if Isak leaves. Ultimately, Muani’s performances in the final months of the season could determine his next destination.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Kolo Muani’s future remains up in the air. Will he stay at Juventus, return to PSG, or make a move to the Premier League?

His next destination will depend on a combination of form, finances, and the ambitions of the clubs involved. One thing is certain Muani’s transfer saga will be one to watch.

Barcelona pushing for €85m-rated forward’s transfer as Deco lays the groundwork

Barcelona pushing for €85m-rated forward’s transfer as Deco lays the groundwork

According to a report from SPORT, Barcelona’s sporting director, Deco, has begun laying the groundwork for a possible move to sign Liverpool winger Luis Diaz.

The club is actively working on financial plans and calculations to determine how they can afford the transfer.

However, securing Diaz won’t be easy, as Barcelona must first generate significant funds before making an official approach.

Challenges Ahead
The estimated cost of signing the Colombian star is between €70-75 million, meaning Barcelona need to free up at least €30 million in their wage structure to make the deal viable.

To raise the necessary funds, the club is exploring various options, including player sales and percentage deals involving players not currently in the first-team setup.

Barcelona’s midfield is one area where they could consider a major sale if the right offer comes in. While the squad has plenty of midfield options, only Pedri is considered untouchable.

In defense, the club is being cautious about making changes, but the futures of Eric Garcia, Andreas Christensen, and Ronald Araujo remain uncertain. Araujo, in particular, would only be allowed to leave if he personally requests a transfer.

Diaz’s Interest in Barcelona
On Diaz’s side, the player is reportedly keen on joining Barcelona. After spending four seasons in England, he is excited about the possibility of playing for the Blaugrana.

Deco has already held informal talks with Diaz’s representatives to express Barcelona’s interest.

However, due to financial restrictions under La Liga’s fair play rules, the club cannot make any formal moves at this stage.

One potential advantage for Barcelona is Diaz’s contract situation. His current deal with Liverpool runs until 2027, but by 2026, the English club’s leverage in negotiations would diminish. If Liverpool don’t sell him next summer, they risk losing out on a significant transfer fee the following year.

That said, if Barcelona fail to show serious interest, Diaz might consider extending his stay at Anfield instead.

While Barcelona are keen on bringing Diaz to Camp Nou, financial hurdles and strategic planning will play a crucial role in determining whether the transfer materializes.
